Before getting started, let’s go through some necessary prerequisites. We are preparing for the DVA-C02 certification, which, of course, is no cake walk, but I do promise you that this series will keep it entertaining while holding all the required material up to the standard. We will cover over 30 AWS services, so you should have ample room to learn. Do not worry, we’ll pace ourselves. If you are a non-IT professional or lack experience on AWS, no worries, do not rush because this is not a race. Having a background in coding is not required for this exam, though it certainly may help a great deal. However, it is by no means a requirement for this series.
So, what is AWS? In short, it is a cloud service provider offering scalable services and servers on demand. It’s phenomenal how organizations have been able to manage sites that have millions of users with relatively small engineering resources. AWS has revolutionized the IT landscape and now powers some of the largest websites in the world, including amazon.com and Netflix, to name just two.
This series will be comprehensive as we dive into these topics, and more. The information might seem overwhelming at first, but we will get into it methodically. Don’t be intimidated; as you can tell, we have a lot to cover. I call AWS a “spaghetti ball” because of all the complexity; but together, we’ll dive through it and master the services that are essential to achieve the AWS Certified Developer Certification. Thank you for reading and I’ll see you in the next article.
